The thing is that I am already 89, and all the time I want to learn something new. I am listening to these talking books, and I am learning wonderful things. I wish I could tell my grandchildren about all of the things I am learning from these books--different points of view, wonderful truths, you can tell that people know about Christ just by the things that they say and the way that they talk.

... I would love to talk to each of my grandchildren and their households. It is unbelievable how much life can teach you. When you have lived a long life, you learn a lot from your experiences. I would like to do that, to spend a little time with each of the kids and the grandchildren.

... There are moments that I talk to God at night and say, "Why am I still here?" And I don't know, because I don't feel like anyone needs me anymore. But this thing that we have done tonight (this blog) has given me a booster shot; it has made me feel needed again. Thank you.
